They hire fitness managers who talk down on you with no education and minimal experience as a manager as long as they hit numbers disrespecting another human being doesn’t matter. Your boss treats you like a dog until you have closing PTX. They are arrogant and cocky some are cool at other gyms. They never want to lend you tips or advice. You punch in, but eventually that stops cause XSport is that broke and you make money based on your clients coming is for sessions and don’t want you going pass 30 hours in clocking in.įellow trainers are nice to you at first, but after a while they stop speaking to you and then want to boss you around and make jokes with other trainers who been there longer than you. Then you may have to pick up some weights and talk to members about training and them taking a PTX. You don’t get paid much for the PTX’s either by the way minimum wage. Meaning a free workout session which they may, or may not show up, also a waste of your time. Then you go to your home gym where you have to get clients for PTX's with silly events XSport has at the end of the month and bother members to take a PTX. ![]() You take a CPR class to get a card that never comes in the mail. Orientation is full of crap it’s a “Yes you can speech telling you how much money you can make!!!” and to demoralize you showing you whats gonna make you money, which is resigns not some silly heart rate monitor. Where to begin well I got hired trough someone, communication is obviously not XSport’s best moto I was told to go to orientation for one day little did I know it was like freakin 4 days(oh not in a row by the way the days were spilt up of course they failed to mention that) I only went back to get a red shirt to be in uniform first orientation they said for trainers to come back and didn’t bother to give us shirts the first day. My experience with XSport was an absolutely waste of my time. At least you'd make more than $15 an hour.ĭon’t bother with this place if you want to focus on personal training this is not the place. You'd be better off starting your own training business and going through the struggle of getting clients on your own. Everything about this place is backwards. They don't tell you when you start that you only get paid for hours that's you have a PT, PTX or 'other hours worked' that you spend 'cleaning up the floor' but honestly that takes all of 15 minutes. You'll spend 8-10 hours a day there and get paid for 4-5 of it. unless you have money saved up to live off of for at least 3 months, do not try to be a trainer at this place. ![]() What kind of a company hires personal trainers without a personal training certification anyways? Xsport seems to have no idea what direct deposit is and has no plans of using it - although they tell you at orientation that they're 'looking into it.' Oh and the biggest thing. My first paycheck had me getting paid as if I don't have a training certification, which I certainly do. Watch your paycheck because 9/10 it will be incorrect.
